What's the difference between kosher & non kosher parchment?
kosher scroll is written on a parchment (lamb skin) and never on paper.
The scroll is written by hand by a Sofer using special ink & feather. The parchment must be complete and without mistakes. Behind the scroll should be a sticker with the certificate of approval. The parchments that we sell are guaranteed to be 100% kosher.
A non kosher scroll is not written by hand but it’s printed on regular paper.
How do you maintain the scroll for many years?
You should roll carefully the scroll and pack it in a plastic sheet. It’s important that the mezuzah case itself must be sealed. The mezuzah cases we sell are sealed and the parchments we sell are rolled and covered by plastic sheets.
Will the mezuzah cases tolerate any weather
Certainly. We ship mezuzahs all over the world from hot Australia to frozen Canada.
Is the sticker behind the mezuzah case strong enough?
According to our long experience it is definitely sure. Nevertheless if you insist we can attach hangers to the mezuzah case. Usually we use the hangers for the very heavy mezuzahs from 20 cm and more.
What is the right way to install a mezuzah case?
First you should put the parchment in the mezuzah case with the letter situated upright. While you are standing outside, stick the mezuzah to the door frame on your right side, at the height of your eyes. The top part should tilt a little towards the inside.
How do you put the parchment in the mezuzah case?
In most mezuzahs you should lift the plastic lid which is located at the top above the letter. After you put the scroll in, push the lid back to its place.
What is the blessing you should say while attaching the mezuzah?

Is it a must to put a mezuzah at the entrance to every room?
Yes, this is the Jewish ritual, but not at the entrance to the bathroom, toilet, or patio

The letter is a shortening for “shadai” (which are initials for “the guardian of the doors of Israel “)
Is it allowed to move a mezuzah to a new location?
Yes, it is permitted but it is recommended to check first if the parchment is not defected.
